How to Find Your Gaming Laptop Model & Specs
Two gaming laptops that look almost identical can be worth very different amounts because of the GPU, processor, RAM and exact model number. Before requesting a quote, use the steps below to send the specs that actually determine value.
1. Find the exact model number
Check the label on the bottom of the laptop first. ASUS, Lenovo, HP, Alienware, Acer, MSI and Razer commonly print a product or model number there. A family name like ‘ROG Zephyrus’ or ‘Legion 5’ is useful, but the exact model number is better because one family can contain many hardware configurations.
If the bottom label is unreadable, Windows System Information can help: press the Windows key, search for System Information, and look for System Model.
2. Find the GPU
The graphics card is one of the biggest value differences in a gaming laptop. Open Device Manager, expand Display adapters and send the dedicated NVIDIA or AMD GPU shown there. Examples include RTX 3060, RTX 4070 or Radeon RX graphics.
Do not send only Intel or integrated graphics if a second dedicated GPU is listed. The dedicated GPU is the important gaming component.
3. Find RAM and CPU
Open Settings → System → About. Under Device specifications, Windows normally shows the processor and installed RAM. Send both exactly as shown.
- Exact model / model number
- Dedicated GPU
- Processor / CPU
- Installed RAM
- Storage if known
- Condition and any issues
Why this prevents a bad quote
A laptop model line can ship with multiple GPUs and processors, so quoting from the brand name alone can produce the wrong number. Max Cash confirms the exact hardware before the final offer so you can compare the amount before coming to Virginia Beach.
