What to Do Before Selling Your Phone
Before you sell a phone, identify the device accurately and make sure the buyer knows its real status. A few minutes of preparation can prevent delays and help the quote match the phone you bring.
Find the exact model and storage
On iPhone, Settings → General → About shows the model name and capacity. On Samsung, Settings → About phone identifies the model, and storage can be checked in device settings. Send the exact information rather than only saying ‘iPhone Pro’ or ‘Galaxy Ultra.’
Check carrier and lock information
For iPhone, carrier-lock information can appear under Settings → General → About. Also disclose any iCloud/Activation Lock or passcode issue. For Samsung, tell us the carrier or whether you know it is unlocked.
Do not hide condition problems
Mention cracks, camera problems, battery warnings, frame damage or other faults during the quote. The final transaction is based on the actual device and disclosed condition.
Prepare for the appointment after you accept
